has anyone used one? how's it sound? pros & cons??

  2. I wonder where you would get one of these??

There isn't anything magical about ebanol. It's dense and hard and can be shaped pretty easily but I don't think there is a source of blanks for nuts. If there is, I don't think ebanol would be any better or worse than say graphite, corian, ivory, bone, or any other material including the metals like brass, or aluminum.

it was on Warmoth's hardware page.

  4. I just thought of a pro for an ebanol nut. It's sort of hard to find black nuts unless you can locate a carbon graphite one (my Kawai has one) but ebanol would do the job nicely. They might even or should cost less than a graphite one.
