hey again im back with a new question

on ebay i saw an item worth about $4000 and the highest bid was $2!? if i bid $3 and nobody bids higher do i get this!
i know i still have to pay shipping and all that but i mean. I'd be willing to pay about $700 for this. I know this has nothin to do with basses so this should probably be moved to off topic which i just realized but i just need a quick answer. thankz alot

It depends on whether there is a reserve price on the item.

Actually, you should be able to find that answer on eBay. Virtually everything there has a link with an explanation.

Either way, it's immaterial. The minimum age for bidders is 18.

well i searched for a good 30 min for an answer and came up empty handed. That's why I came here.
What exactly is a reserve price? Is it like a minimum bid?

You got it. If the reserve on the item is not met, the seller has the right, to not sell it. Usually only the seller knows what the reserve is. Occasionally they will display it. If there is no reserve, the highest bidder wins.
