Ebay pruchase gone bad, please help...

    Tim, there may be different policies between the credit card companies. In my case, I paid through pay pal. Pay Pal refunded the bulk of my payment, less the fees they charged to the seller, and the credit card company refunded the balance. YMMV

    I got burned on a preamp on which I paid via paypal. The guy returned one email 2 weeks into it and then nothing... I called my credit card (Discover) and they refunded it immediately until he sent it, which he did rather quickly. When I got my statement, the original charge, the full refund, and reinstatement of the original charge (after he shipped it) were all there. Perhaps it does depend on the credit card company then?
