i have dust bunnies between my toes older than that. just joking, but thats what the people selling it try to do to rip you off. some 10 year old is gonna go, "MOMMIE MOMMIE, GET THIS BASS, IT's VINTAGE AND WILL BE WORTH SOMETHING IN AWHILE!" then awhile comes and he's like 13 and realizes he was ripped off. yep that's the story of my life, excpet i bought a squire for $350 :crying: i was so naive. but it still plays fine now that it's got some EMG's in it.

  4. OK--I used the "ask seller a question" thing on Ebay & here is how that went:
    You asked:
"What is so rare about this bass that is less than 10 years old?"

Hello. The fellow that sold me this guitar gave the wrong information as to how old it is. Too late to correct this as listing has bids. Thanks

    :D

lake lacid blue, popular color on the mim fender stuff. my first guitar i bought in 94-95 was a strat in that color. so nice. i wish i still had it, but i traded it for my first bass haha.

also, i didnt even pay 235 for my new mim p-bass when i got it in 97

Yeah, but NOT too late to ADD to the listing... lame excuse. Checked out their other listings, all non-music related misc stuff, so they prolly have no general clue anyway. :)

Thing is (argh), it's got 18 bids and is almost up to 250. Jeez.

  7. But the reserve isn't met so these people must think they have a piece of gold.

You could always email the ones who've bid and give them a heads up...

old socks = new polishing/cleaning glove.

great for getting the grime off of roundwounds, or the really gross skinpaste that builds up on my upright.

You know whats sad about all of this? Somebody out there is gonna pay $999.00 for that "rare" Fender bass.

Yep, those 1995 MIM's are very well sought after :D

  18. I did correspond with the seller and one of you guys was right--they really don't know much about musical instruments. I basically told him what it was worth so hopefully his reserve is $250 which is a fair price for it. :D
