  1. I was on ebay looking for a six string, and came across this bass, so i just clicked on it to take a closer look. I don't think the owner noticed the picture of the serial number on the back (second picture):eek:

    it is an old Fender Baritone Guitar.

    AKA Fender Bass VI

    Not a Baritone Guitar. They are tuned a fifth lower than a guitar.

    This is tuned an octave lower, just like a bass.

    The Bass VI and Danelectro Tic Tac bass were designed to be played with a pick. They were designed for guitar players who wanted to double on bass.

    sorry I meant the Bass VI.

    I used one on a session last summer.
    They are a lot of fun to play.
