NOW REDUCED TO ONLY $1,350.00 including insured ups ground shipping to lower 48 USA.

I bought this Musicman Big Al not that long ago brand new from an online EBMM Dealer.
I really like the bass a great deal and will most likely be kicking myself in the tush for letting it go.

This one is one of the REEEEEEALLY hard to find Big Al's out there ordered with a matching headstock.
I honestly do not think I have seen more than one other ever except a Dargie that has the MHS option.

This is a pearl white color.
It is a metalflake type white.
    Really beautiful finish and color!
Looks great with the light blonde pale maple neck and fretboard wood!

Since I bought this bass new it has barely been played in my home music room.
Maybe under 2 hours home use since brand new.

New the bass cost $1,709.00 plus shipping and ins.
Being it has the MHS and is in this color, My guess is you would need special order it from EBMM and paid full retail and shipping as well as wait 3-4 months for it to be made and delivered.

Comes with EBMM fitted factory Big Al hard case with candy.
Case has never left the house since it was delivered brand new.

Whoever buys this for the asking price will be getting one Beautiful Big Al for a great price shipped to their door ( lower 48 USA ) !!!! :D

Shipping is included in the set asking price of $1,350.00

Price is set very fair and is firm.
    NO TRADES PLEASE, thanks :)
Shipping will be UPS ground/insured to the lower 48 USA.

Included are some pics from the store I bought it from and also 3 pics taken recently in my living room,

Please drop me a PM to make a purchase or ask any questions.

    Thanks! :bassist:

Please pardon the random color balance of the stores pics.
The 3 I took in my home are MUCH more accurate on the color of the bass.
    Thanks :)

What is the neck like on these? Just watched a bunch of videos and sounds great...but no mention of neck or overall feel. Is it balanced well with that offset body? Thanks for the info!

The neck is the sterling style neck.
It is slimmer than a bongo or stingray.
    Faster playing.
The finish they use on the necks are amazing.
    SUPER SMOOTH AND FAST!

This one is as new and has no play wear at all.

The body is very balanced and the bass is fantastic!

PRICE IS NOW REDUCED TO ONLY $1,350.00 shipped in the lower 48 to your door!

    Not 100% sure...
But I THINK it is Alder?
I know Big Al basses where either made in Alder or Mahogany.
This one feels too light to be mahogany.
So I am guessing it is Alder?
I bought it brand new in 2011.
I am guessing it is a 2011 model? Could be a 2010 the dealer ordered and had in stock?

I can call a buddy of mine in EBMM and have him check it out and run the serial number on Monday if you like?
I do not own a scale in my home...so no clue on the exact weight.
It is not a heavy bass I can honestly say for sure.

I think Mahogany is only used for the 5 string model.

Dont forget to watch the Ed Friedland videos.

He always does a great informative review.

Bass gear reviewed it at 9.8 oz with alder body and the maple neck and said it was more aggressive sounding vs their sterings. With 3 pickups has basically limitless tonal options and said the neck is skimmed than their 25th anniversary or the bongo(which I have) so that would put it in the jazz neck pallet ....I have had my eye on this bass for awhile bit just dropped 3k on the will lee sadowsky which is money well spent. Someone is gonna love this bass. Btw, y r u selling it, obviously the tone is not ur fav???

The Body wood depends on the year of manufacture. The first year of production they were Alder, after that through present they have been African mahogany. As someone that owns several ( 4 ) big al basses. I can honestly say the electronics in these basses neuters almost any effect the wood would have on the tone, and mostly just effects the weight. The big al bass both the SSS and the single h are the best playing/sounding basses available. My only issue with this sale is that this bass is not rare. It is an option that was heavily ordered and still readily available from the manufacturer. It is however several hundred dollars cheaper than a retailer, and Dan is a great guy to deal with. If you want a big al bass. This is an awesome deal on a killer axe.

And in my opinion. It is African Mahogany.
    E

Ps African Mahogany weighs less than Alder. It is not the same wood as traditional Mahogany.

    Thanks for the info.
Being that this is either a 2010 or 2011, it must then be African Mahogany.
I mentioned having no way to weigh it.
But I can honestly say it feels lighter than both of my Bongos and for sure Both of my Stingrays.

It is a very well balanced bass.

Maybe it is not rare in the sense of a 30th ray or 2008LE, etc...
But honestly having looked and looked for Big Al's for quite sometime.
I never once saw a Pearl white and maple Big Al with a matching HS.
The only one I saw I bought.
And the store has one listed now on Ebay for advance order for $,1719.00.
