SOLD EBMM StingRay Special 4H - 2019 - Vintage Tobacco - 7lbs 15.2oz - 2 pickguards

Up for sale is a gorgeous EBMM StingRay Special in Vintage Tobacco. Excellent condition.



This particular bass, in addition to being very light (~7lbs 15.2oz!) has some very nice looking woods. The body grain is very nice and the headstock is almost figured, it’s really pretty.

Roasted maple neck feels amazing and plays great with low action. Awesome playing bass.

Stuff to disclose (not much on this bass):
- 2 small dings on the back of the neck, close to the bottom of the fretboard (see photos). One is very tiny. These are on the very underside of the neck and located in places where I never feel them with my thumb while playing. Just disclosing in case.
-A couple of small scuffs. The shop I bought it from disclosed one on the headstock, which I don’t know that I’ve even found, and I found a minor one near the control plate (pictured).

Excellent condition otherwise, close to new.

Bass comes with original white pickguard along with a black/white/black ordered directly from EBMM. Black is currently installed.

Bass will ship in the original hard shell case. The case has a cracked area in the outer plastic near one of the bottom corners (pictured).

This Stingray needs a good new home. Someone will get a very close to new ‘Ray for a lot less. I paid more than this when I bought it used from a shop just a couple months ago.

This finish is now discontinued, and StingRay Specials are going up in price by hundreds of dollars in 2021. Get this one for a lot cheaper ...

This is as low as I’m willing to go on this one. If this does not move on TB soon at this price I’ll need to consider moving to Reverb, Facebook/Craigslist, or Ebay instead.

 

Thank you for saying that, I think this is a solid price for this bass as well. I would’ve been thrilled to originally get it for this price.

I’d love to keep it, but I need to raise some cash for some recent home expenses. That’s the only reason this (and the Momose I have up) is on the block. I’ll be taking a loss on this one for sure, but hopefully my loss will be someone else’s gain and they’ll get a great bass for a great price.
