Thanks for the video! And that's great for 10 months, nothing to apologize for.
Wish I had the loot to join this club. The membership dues are high right now.
Roasted goodness, welcome to the club
Nice! Looks like that bass is smiling...
That's such a classic looking instrument
Yeah man, yeah
Can anybody compare the HH to a Bongo HH?
shoot me your number and I’ll text you a quick video. Talkbass says my 40 second video is too long to post
As they say in the classifieds, PMed.
Largely as different as the normal Stingray HH to a Bongo HH.
The only real similarity I've noticed is when you boost the bass on the Stingray Special the amount of boost available is reminiscent of the Bongo.
Otherwise quite different basses as previously.
Loving the black and roasted maple.
One of these basses is screaming out 'play me'...
Well they all are - but this one somewhat louder...
Really glad I've joined this club and looking forward to a 5HHS at some point soon.
That is a tantalizing group photo! Nice!!
That’s a fine collection indeed drool
Agreed, the HH s Stingray rear pickup is in the same position as the single pickup version
The Bongo version is closer to the
Bridge adding a little more “burp”
In the solo position.
The bass boost in both basses are very similar. I love all of them
The eagle has landed-- Again!
The first Stingray Special that I ordered a few weeks ago was returned as the bass just felt a a bit too flashy overall, and my new one arrived a few days ago; think of it as the first being Ginger, and this one, Marry Ann
Had some setup issues that were resolved via our local tech (I truly hate buying basses sight unseen over the net...), and now it plays like a dream!
Also of note, this bass has one of the finest rosewood boards I've seen in a long, L O N G time
The combination of the lightweight, stainless steel frets and new pre-amp make this my new #1, and worth every penny of the new price tag-- even before the Labor Day sale discount
Until this bass, I've not been a fan of pre-amps; this new 18V version is a very welcome change to that of the previous model.
Happy Day, Happy Day!
Stunning grain, she’s a beauty ^
What was the order timeline on this one? Who was the vendor ?
I went with Musicians Friend because they had it in stock, free shipping and they don't collect sales tax in WA. for now anyway...
Only took a week or so to arrive. There are a few places online you can find them in stock, and the closer we get to years end, stocks should be renewed at most places
