    now I have a SOUNDPOST from ebony wood and tomorrow I "ll get it on my bass...

    I hope you have a pincher type sound post setter, because a stabber type won't penetrate that ebony!
    And I see you're in Russia.........That's great!

    Sounds like a great mute to me. Do you live in an apartment with thin walls where volume is a problem?
     
  7. The American Kay plywood basses had hardwood (Birch?) sound posts. Some think these sounded better in those instruments than spruce posts.
