Wht do you amps specialists here on Tb think of a EBS TD650 and a Berg 3x10? I'm not looking to be monster loud or anything. But i do hear that Bergs need to take a lot of watts to sound sweet. the RMs on the 3x10 is 600 IIRC and you can guess the power rating of the EBS (its 650....hence the name...) all feedback is appriciated:)

From what I've heard, that setup should KILL. And it would be very loud with awsome sound. I'm sure more people will give more detailed info on that. ;)

Isn't the EBS 650W only with a 2 Ohm load?

Seriously doubt the EBS would have enough juice to wake up that cab. You'd be better off with about twice the wattage with that Bergie.

Well, the Berg seems to be a quite typical bass cab with good sensitivity (103db/v), so EBS with its 400W/4ohm will easily wake it up. It will actually be seriously loud! If not, the Berg guys are just kidding with that sensitivity figure.

EBS och Berg, det skulle vara en bra kombination ;)

Finns Bergantino överhuvudtaget i vår del av världen??

  7. I wonder. Maybe in Germany?

I just bought some Epifanis, a 15 and a 2x10 cab.. Nick Epifani told me to run my power amp in bridged mono. I usually ran it in stereo... What a difference.. I use a Kern IP-777 into a QSC PLX-2402... I'm not suer what I'm putting throgh it now, but I'll let you know when I figure it out... Both cabs are 8 ohm...

    Overwater seems to carry them:
    HT310 - 3x10 4ohm £949 - OUCH!

I am playing through a berg 310 and I agree that you need serious power to make this thing sound its best. I am running a QSC PLX 1202 bridged. This seems to drive it fine. It is 1200 watts into the 4 ohm load.

    GO FOR IT. NICE CABINETS.

  11. So you must be running one cab into the other (daisy chain) right? I would think the 2402 would be fine running parallel or stero.

Not. But believe whatever you want. I own three Bergie cabs and what I stated is based on first-hand experience not merely the reading of published specs.

I tried out the EBS HD350 (the TD's little bro) with a Bergie 3x10 a few months back. I didn't play it at high volumes, so I can't tell you what that was all about. But, I can tell you the Bergie definitely sounded sweet. I think, if anything, it was a little tame sounding compared to the EBS 4x10 cab, not quite as loud. But definitely a good sounding cab.

    Claremore OK.
I own the Berg HT2-12 and will say that they need power. I dont think 650 watts would do it unless your playing low-moderate level gigs. I run my Carvin DCM 1500 bridged at 4 ohms and 1500 watts and it sounds wonderful but if I run just one side of the amp its only 450-500 watts at 4 ohms and it clips at moderate levels. Gotta feed em a healthy amount.

Yea the volume thing seems to be an issue. The kind of volume i'm looking for is samller sized clubs and i'm also going to use it to jam with the band in my basment. So the consensus seems to be that id need someithing like a QSCplx1600(?) or somthing along those lines to get the bergie to be sweet at high volume?

My Epifanis are run in parallel or daisey chained.. It's a full 2400 watts into a 4 ohm load....

Isnt the EBS underated in terms of power? Every thing I've read about them makes me think that it is much more powerful than what they're rated at. Ask Bass Northwest or Bass Central i'm sure they will know.

They're extremely loud. But, IMO, it's a perception issue. I think the Bergies require a lot of wattage, not perceived power.

Alright i've rethought this, apparently EBS doesnt make anything powerful enough for berg, i tried out an IOD today and liked it very much, so much that im willing to buy it and give it a whirl in the rig, so heres the new setup:

    Roscoe 6->volume pedal->IOD->QSC RMX1450(bridged)->Bergantino 322(2x10 and 1x12 rated at 750RMS)

So this should work right!? How power hungry are these things!?:D :p

That should do the trick, man. Let us know how it sounds. I have 3 Roscoes and they sound GOOD through my Bergies. 1450 watts should juice that cab about right.
