EBS HD350 fan question

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by gimmeagig, Aug 7, 2012.

  1. I have an older HD350 which I just converted to 2 ohm capability.
I recently bought two 4ohm Avatar 112 cabs and I wanted that amp to be able to drive those.
EBS sent me the kit and my local tech guy did the work.
The question I have is about the cooling fan. Is it supposed to always be on? My Eden WT550 has a temp sensor but when it's fan kicks in it sounds like a blowdryer.
I haven't used the EBS in a while so I plain forgot how it was before the conversion. The fan seems louder than I remember it to be. I wonder if the mod makes the amp work harder and requires the fan to run faster....
  2. Are there no HD350 owners here? I mainly want to know if the fan is on a sensor just to make sure my tech didn't forget anything.

If I remember correctly the HD350 fan is on all the time. Do not know about the fan being louder.
