EBS Multidrive ???

Does anyone own or has anyone tried the EBS Multidrive overdrive/distortion pedal? I currently have a Boss ODB-3 and I have never really been happy with the sounds from it (too rough and crunchy and very brittle). My ODB-3 is also occasionally flaky so I am looking to replace it. The EBS seems like it could be a good replacement. Does it give the warmer more organic overdrive that the ODB-3 lacks? I have not found too many reviews of it yet, but I am very curious. Also does anyone know of the cheapest place to get one on the 'net? MF has them for $183, but that is a little high. I think Bass NW has them for $179. I am also still wondering if this pedal will give me the sound I am looking for. My other consideration could be the Tech 21 Sansamp Bass DI, but I don't really need a DI. I know the Tech 21 gets good reviews, but I am curious about the EBS. I already have an EBS BassIQ and I like it.

I'm sure someone out there owns one of these EBS Multidrives. I am still up in the air on the multidrive vs something like the Sansamp bass DI, but The EBS is still the way I am leaning. There seem to be a lot of threads about overdrives here recently. Even makes the Fulltone seem interesting too.

yeah, I've already been there and still no overdrive sample. hmmmmm. I do have the BassIQ and it does sound a lot like the samples.

I've noticed that MF keep bumping out the availability date on the EBS Multidrive. I wonder what that means? I wonder if hey just have a hard time getting it or if there are problems with it?

Just FYI there are finally sound samples of the EBS Multidrive on the EBS webpage. I really like the sounds. I think I just got GAS.
