Hey all! I just got an EBS blue stripe Fafner head and I'm loving it. I'm looking for an EBS cab to pair with it. My options are (both used) an EBS Neoline 210 for 600 bucks and a Proline for 700. I've heard the prolines are better sounding, but also much heavier. Is the better sound worth the extra $100? Also, which is louder? And are they loud enough to fill a room with just the Fafner and a 210? I will be gigging these and I need something that's gonna knock the walls down. Thanks in advance for the advice!

The Neo has a much higher list price - neodymium drivers are expensive - and better specs to go with it. It's 4db louder, reaches 20Hz lower, and hits its thermal limits 100W higher, if you believe EBS' specs. Which sounds better is a matter of personal taste. "Knocking walls down" isn't a very clear requirement. The Fafner could fry either cab on its own, but they'd get pretty loud before they started farting.

@ndthorpe1 Wassup bro? I've been an artist with EBS 13 years now...Here's the thing, the neo series cabs sound great but there's always a tradeoff in tone with lighter cabs...the Proline cabs have 13-ply birch...the neo cabs are plywood...personally,I'd base my decision on that alone! The neo's are good cabs though...I just feel you lose a lil something with them...even with the louder output. If you're going for portability,go with the neo cabs...you'd probably still be happy with the sound and your back will probably thank you! :-D
