Here's the deal: I extensively auditioned an Eden 210XST and XLT when buying my WT-550 head. I chose the XLT, probably for the midrange hump so often referred to. I am still lovin' this setup 1 1/2 years later, but schlepping the 68 lb XLT is getting to be a bit much for practices. I would like to buy a lighter cab for these practices. I would also like to have it mesh well with the 210XLT for playing gigs. Originally I planned on getting a 115XLT to round out the 210, but this beast is still rather large to cart around for practices. The 210XST is supposed to match well with the XLT, but if I use it for the practices, then I am left with playing thru a cab that I don't really dig by itself. Do any of you in the Eden camp have experience with the 112XLT being used in conjunction with the 210XLT? This is starting to look like a good idea, assuming the 112 does a good job augmenting the 210 for gigs and that the 112 sounds enough like my 210XLT to be satisfying to play at practices. Another option is the 210 Wedge to be used in practice and combining it with the other 210 for gigs. I am not opposed to using other manufacturers cabs, so long as the outputs are close and the overall character is like the Eden. Thanks.
when i auditioned my eden cabs i was very well aware of the comments about the 210xlt versus the 210xst cabs. i was able to get the sound out of the xst by tweaking my mids on my amp and went with the xst, partly because of its weight. i love the cab. i run it with the 212xlt and it sounds awesome, so i would think that your xlt with an xst will sound just fine. i often just grab the xst cab for small venues and wouldn't trade it for anything.....
