Today I was picking out my CHristmas prsent, I was dead sure to get the Eden 4x10xlt. But then I was told the Ampeg was pretty good, and I tried it. It was ok, but the eden 4x10 wasnt around to play. SO anyways, which one is better? This is just for a second opinion to quell my doubts, Eden has been my first pick.

  2. Eden.:D for me the thought of hand made speakers are really cool, and excellent sound too, you won't regret it.

I'm with Modulusbassist with this one. Eden has much better quality control that Ampeg does...

Another Eden vote. I have a 410XLT and its the first cab I've ever had that, after two years, I have never given the slightest consideration to trading. Nothing wrong with the Ampeg but its not an Eden.

How could you even compare an Ampeg to an Eden. You've got to be crazy. Both are totally in a different league. The Eden is my vote, especially the 410XLT. The Ampeg is just too badly massproduced that they can take any care to put time into it. The Edens would be my cabs over even other high-end brands like Bergantino, Epifini, or Aguilar.

The Eden D410XLT is, pound for pound, the best 4x10 on the market these days. Go for it.

Eden definately. This is a B (budget) series Ampeg were talkin here! It doesnt stand a chance against the Eden!

  8. i just picked up my eden 410XLT yesterday, $500 used. this thing is NICE. the frequency response is great, and the horn gives me clear highs that were totally unthinkable under my peavey 8X10. i can't comment on vs ampeg, but man this cab is nice.

The Ampeg BXT series is not the budget series Ampegs. The budget ones are the BSE's. The BXT series were the ones designed for Victor Wooten and Steve Bailey. I played the both the 4x10 and 1x15 cab in this series. They are an incredible line of cabinets. The Eden 4x10 is also a sweet cabinet. Both 4x10 cabs are around the same price range, last time I checked anyway. They are both killer cabs, so you really can't go wrong.
