What do you mean 'in series'? How have you wired them up?

Odds are they're really parallel, you're taking the speakon output from the amp to one cab, and then running a speaker cable from that cab to the second cab, right?

If so, the amp is seeing a 4 ohm load, and delivering about 500W, or about 250W to each cab. Should be pretty ideal.

If you use just one of the cabs, the amp will send about 300W into an 8 ohm cab.
