This may be a stupid question, but is it possible to remove the low mid hump from an eden cab with an EQ when a flat signal is desired?

  2. You can cut it back substantially using a 1/3 octave interpolating equalizer. A sound analyzer will be required. The Rane RA27 makes this an easy task when used with Rane EQ. The LEDs on the analyzer correspond directly with the sliders.

could it be done with just a parametric EQ?

  4. Just wondering, what exactly does he mean by mid hump? Does it mean that the mids are boasted or scooped or something else?

Not all Eden cabs hump the low mids....Try an XST cab. My 410XST cab absolutely kicks butt. Very flat response and goes down to 30hz. 1000 watts to boot. Give Bass Central a call!

I found that some cut at 80Hz works pretty well for diminishing the mid hump of the 410XLT.

Anyone else have any eq tricks for Eden cabs?

  9. The D410XLT I recently had on the test bench had its boom peak at 83 Hz.

Speaking of which, I just finished recording my band's demo.

I cant wait to post some clips of my tracks I recorded by micing the 210XST.

I love how it came out, especially when you consider the extreemely short amount of time spent in the studio. Most of which went to everyone except for me. I guess I partially owe it to the XST.

    Thanks a bunch Gard!

Check out the XST, you wont regret it.

    Peace
    Nick
