Hey guys, got a bit of a bonehead question here but I'm lacking in the audio technology department so it needs to be asked.

When I'm looking at cabinets second hand, is there any way to tell if it has been abused sonic wise? I mean is it easy to tell if it has been blown or pushed to hard? I'm guessing it's quite easy to tell if it's been blown but what other problems should I look for?

    Thanks,

Look for creasing around the cone edges.
Play at a loud volume and listen for fuzzy and distorted sound.
Listen to the horn through its volume range 0-10
    Can you hear it?

    That's about it.

Also, if it looks in good condition, it's probably been better cared-for than a cab that looks like it's been kicked down the stairs all the time.
