Any reccs on a nice lightweight cab to pair with the wt550? For small rehersals etc. i am hating lugging my huge heavy 115 around. Was looking at the trace elliot 2 x 8 stack. Any other advice?

One of Duke’s Audiokinesis 112 cabs would be at the top of my list, or Barefaced similarly situated nearby, depending on taste.

Edit: Roger Baer’s ML112’s are awesome with the Eden WT amps, too, if you don’t like tweeters, IMO.

Yes, just the power varies a bit.
    WT550 620W@2Ohm 500W@4Ohm 300W@8Ohm
    WT550B 750W@2Ohm 550W@4Ohm 300W@8Ohm
Get yourself a manual and read it on how to set the Gain to get the perfect Eden tone.
You can find it on the Eden web page or in the Edenamps forum.
    Rock on!

Has anyone used the markbass ny121 cab? Seems light and portable and enough for practice and rehersal

Is there a button on the wt550 to switch between 4/8 ohms or is it automatic based on what speaker u are plugged into?

    There is no such switch.
You find those only on full tube amps, to change impedance according the cab you use in order not to destroy the tube power amp section.
On the WT550 can hook up everything from 2 Ohm up. The only thing changing is the power available according the impedance of your cab(s). See values I posted earlier in this topic.

  10. I was doing C/R then - 2 Teles, big Drums, 4 part Harmonies.

550>210XST>212XLT both 4 ohm>Jazz Deluxe 5, basically 12 o'clock with small tweeks on the EQ, Enhance 10/11 o'clock gave me a deep clear bottom that everything could ride on, left room for everything else and with a few tweaks at the bass covered everything from smooth walking lines through to hard boogie/rock stuff with plenty of bark for accents : )

    Cheers Maurie.

    thanks mate!

so with a 8 ohm cab ill get 300 watts. so the ex112 will be fine as long as I do not push it to max volume correct ?

I read about setting up the gain structure on the eden website, sort of like other amps,

the 1 thing I dont get is how to use the compression. is it basically just on or off and unable to adjust the amount of compression ?

You can switch it on and off with the bypass switch (Enhance knob)
The amount of compression can be adjusted with the gain, but only a bit.
    Less gain > less compression.
    Ration is always at 1:4
The power is fine. But as I always say, let your ears be the judge.
    I use my WTX260 with my D810, but also hook up a D112 to a WT1000. I don't really care.
If it doesn't sound right, reduce volume or EQ.

Help guys! My wt550 just started making this noise

Powers on no issue but then i get this when I hit the strings. I narrowed down all
Variables and determined its the amp not the can or bass or cables etc

Eden itself has a great pair of speakers that are pretty incredible for the size. The EX110's and EX112's are small but quite deep and loud. I have a pair of EX110's with a GK MB500/MB200 and a pair will handle most gigs I do, haven't played a VERY loud gig yet, but I've played pretty loud. Might want to take a look at them.
