I've been using my Eden Glow Plug for a while and I love it, but I find that it is replacing my compressor. When on, the pedal evens out the volume of my playing while thickening the tone, which is what I was hoping to get out of a compressor.

I run mine on ju'st the cusp of breakup, FYI. I'm a tube amateur, but from what I read there should be natural compression when overdriving a tube amp, so is that what I'm observing?

Also, do you users also run a comp before or after it? I'm really wondering how to get the most out of this little fella. Thanks!

I run mine so it just adds warmth and fatness to my tone. I also run a Diamond Bass JR. at the end of my chain. 329B7627-A7C3-4F05-8F3B-F56141EF4517.jpeg

I run an FRFR powered monitor, so the always-on chain (HP/LP Filter>Silver Delux>Glow Plug>Diamond) acts like an amp/cab sim of sorts. I run a Parametric 2-band on the Zoom to punch up the miss. Fat, warm and punchy!
