Eden price quote...

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by jenderfazz, Feb 4, 2005.

  1. My local shop just got a used, amazing condition, Eden half stack going for 2000$ CDN (approximately 1550$ US). A Highwayman 500 watt head, with a 2x12 Eden cab. The same guy may sell his 4x10 Eden cab, but he's not sure yet... although if he does, I may just buy that cab instead.

Anyways... In your experience, is this a good price? I will play it tomorrow to see if it's what I'm looking for, but it's a lot of money and I don't want to be ripped off or anything close. Thanks in advance.

$1550 USD is too much. I'm thinking the seller is off by $4-500 USD.

The head should be $400 - $500 US, and the cab should be $350 -$450 US. You do the math.

Nice post! I forgot all about Prepal. $613USD for a WT-500 is fair enough. I'd still hold out for a bit less.

  7. My guess for fair Canadian used prices would be about $800 for the WT-500 and $600 for the D-212XLT.

For $2000 CDN you could buy a brand new WT-550 and D-210XLT. Long & McQuade has the D-410XLT new for $1095. Eden prices in Canada have actually come down in the last few years.

And while you're at it, how about checking on the new Mag600R head. How much??? :D

  10. Well, turns out the price is actually 1800 CDN (1400 US or so) and includes those big metal travel cases for the cab and head. I played it today and it was great, but I will keep doing research to make sure. I think the head is around 1100 CDN new and the cab is around 900$. In itself, that's 2000$... but you're looking at 300$ in taxes right there, and that's the problem with buying new.

That definitely increases the value having those travel cases. $1400 is still too much for all of that. I think you should hold out for the $1100 range.

  12. Thanks a lot everyone, I'm going to keep looking before pulling the trigger on any of these.
