I'm pretty sure I understand this right, but here goes. The Eden WT800B manual says: The WT800B delivers 300 watts RMS output @ 8 Ohms, 440 watts @ 4Ohms and 550 watts @ 2 Ohms (per channel). The QSC/PLX manual for 1602/2402 says: stereo mode, both channels driven: 2 ohms (1 kHz 1% THD) 800W/1200W This indicates to me that I can run two 4 ohm cabs *off each side* for a total of four total 4 ohm cabs driven by the amplifier; each side running two ohms....right? I can't picture ever needing to do this, but I'm reading the manuals correctly, I believe.
Yeah, and if you do it, ear plugs might be a handy remedy to the bleeding ears you might notice. Sometimes I consider increasing my power just a bit, it seems volume is a good thing, but that set up goes well beyond anywhere I might go. But, you gotta love the possibilities, no?
I doubt I'll be playing Shea stadium anytime soon. There are times when I drive one cabe off each side; but if I get paired up with some uppity drummer/guitar player, it's nice to know I can bring four cabs. One for me, one for the drummer, two for the guitar player. I can even control the volume for each of them.
And it's sooooo much fun too! 850 watts per 4 ohm cab. Gotta say, it's the finest rig I've ever owned or played through. I'm sure there is better, but it sure fills the bill for me. It plays quiet too! You just have to turn the knobs. And with the Eden EQ of course, each click is alot of EQ. Just about any sound I want, for sure.
