Just wanted to know what everyone thought of this amp how would it compare to an Ampeg or Mesa 400+? The price on these used seems pretty good around the other amps. Is it as loud as the ampeg/mesa? I have an Aguilar DB359 that I love but its just doesn't have enough power. How would the Eden compare to the Aggie?

Never played one, but I've heard it has some pretty nasty reliability problems relating to the footswitch design -- check the harmonycentral.com reviews.

A 40lb 300W tube amp is pretty appealing though!

Yeah I read all those reviews they can't be that bad can they? Is it just the footswitch that has issues because I never really use them anyway, I'm kinda a set and forget I don't really mess with my sound much

  4. If you don't use the footswitch, there will be no footswitch issues :p . However, I do recall Eden fixing this problem a while ago, so if the one you are looking at is new enough, there should be no problem. That said, when I played the 300, I found it to be quite versitle, with an emphasis on great overdriven tones. It can get close to an SVT sound, and it could get 100 miles away. It is pretty versitle. However, I do not think it could be dialed to be as clean as your 359. In fact, I think the tones in your 359 would be some of the hardest to achieve with a 300.
