That is such a cool bass! Never seen anything like it before. Is the unfretted area at the heel end of the fingerboard playable?
Never tried the end of the fretboard. Probably equal parts Billy Sheehan and Marcus Miller. They're obsessed with both in Japan.
The extra bit there is basically a slap ramp. This is the affordable signature of the bassist Ikuo who has ridiculous technique and I suppose this would help with some of that. Killer player IMO.
I have one and it is awesome. It does *not* have the signature on the back though so that's pretty cool!
