eek, my pickup just popped up

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by bassist 4 life, Oct 23, 2006.

  1. the E and A half of my P pickup just popped up, only the right side of it popped up, it wont go down if i tighten the screws, the left side will go down.

what do you think is the problem?

I think its because there are wires under that side of the pickup.

Where should the wires under the pickups go?

Sounds like the screws stripped out of the wood. Either get a longer screw, or an easier fix is to breack off a piece of a toothpick, place some glue on it, and jam it in. Let it dry and you have a 'new' hole to screw into.

    Regards,

  3. Do you think that caused it? because one whole is stripped.

also, could anyone post a picture of how the wires look under the pickups?
