Effect Processor

Discussion in 'Recording Gear and Equipment [BG]' started by Gallient Knight, Dec 9, 2001.

  1. I know this is more of a generic recording question then a bass recording question. But I am looking for a good effect processor for a home studio. I want to spend around 300 dollars (or less if there is something good for that little) I am currently considering the following

    1) Yamaha SPX 90 or 900 if I can find a used one

    2) Lexicon 500 series

    3) Behringer I don't know why but something tells me to look at them

I have used the SPX 90 alot in live situations and never have a problem. Lexicon has that world famous reverb and plenty of good useable tools.

Anyone have any insight or ideas for other products not mentioned here?

  2. I would go with the Lex. The SPX 90 was a good unit 10 years ago, but the Lex will be less noisey and the rooms will all have a more airy, natural quality.
I don't know anything about Behringer.

    Hope that helps.
