Effector 13 Disaster Fuzz

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by CodeYbassboy, Jun 25, 2005.

  1. If anybody here has one of these, please answer this question for me; will this pedal retain the bottom end if used with a bass?
I'm definately considering buying one based on the sound clips on pedalgeek, but those were all done on guitar.

I cannot answer your question. I have tried one with guitar. It was part of a mini tour box for Harmony Central. Anways the reason I'm posting is that the Disaster fuzz is very unpredictable. A lot of settings make no sound at all. When you do get a sound it is more noise than musical. When you do finally get something playable 1 I didnt like it that much and 2 I couldnt improve it.

I personally see no value for bass unless you want crazy noises or you get the upgraded version with a feedback loop. That's if your music can use a feedback loop.

You are probably better off trying a ZVex Wooly Mammoth
