EHX Bass Preacher - eq range?

    Im thinking about getting one of these as a subtle always on effect. I read that the highs above 5 khz are attenuated quite a lot.

    Do the highs trail off or is like the difference to switching your tweeter on and off? If the tweeter is on will you hear it while the pedal is engaged?

    If there's any high frequency roll-off, I don't notice it. My main signal path currently is tuner-bass preacher-DI and my bass still sounds like my bass, with just a touch of compression and makeup gain to fatten things up. I use the medium attack setting most of the time.

    So even when going through DI to a PA speaker - it is still full range sound you get?

    Yeah, like I said, I don't notice any heavy attenuation going on. The top end of my tone sounds exactly like it does when I go direct without compression, so if there's anything going on I wouldn't say it's too aggressive.
