Ehx lpb-2: high headroom tubes?

    Hi all,

    I use an Ehx lpb-2 to warm up/boost/distort my signal but I would like to swap out the tubes that came factory installed for higher headroom ones with more lowend if possible.

    Any suggestions?

    you'd have a bit more success modding the circuit, you can put in lower gain valves like an 81 or 82 but you're lowering the plate load and the bias is going to be incorrect.

    You use the pedal to distort you signal? why do you need more headroom
