I can't help thinking that, if one wanted that many speakers, it'd be easier to have a 4x10, a 2x12 and two 1x15s.

It's the Eich version of the cab he made at Tecamp. So it make not be a new design, just re-badged. I'm happy to be wrong about that, I have no inside info.

I'm curious how much planning and engineering went into mixing all of the different woofers and sizes. With what I'm sure is vastly different driver responses how do you get coherent mids from that thing? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it sounds monstrous. Excessive for 99% of players. But for the guy who typically wants 2+ Ampeg 810s this is probably a one shot replacement for that, with more extended lows and highs.

Anyone ever played this model, or the Tecamp version?

This arrangement of drivers looks the same as the Tecamp version. I don't totally understand it, though. Other than the nightmare logistics of piling all those drivers into once cab, what possible reason is there for that lone 10" driver down on the lower right side?

  7. If you put the 10 with the other 10s and the 15 under the other 15's, the cab gets like 6-8 taller.

I hear ya'. It's already over 5' tall, though. What's another foot?

I'd actually love to have a cab as tall as me. :bassist:

Where's the "mixed drivers will kill your mama" crew to tell us what a bad idea this is?

I have a 4x10 and 3 single 15s for a combined weight of 182 pounds, this is 155. But given that my heaviest cabinet is only 56 pounds, I think I have it far easier as far as transport goes. And, I don't play arenas or even arenas in my imagination, so I would never take them all out at once - almost always just the 4x10 or 2 of the 15s.

I will admit that I've played with some guitarists where I would have liked to have had this cab. More as a threat than anything else.

For looks. He also makes a 6x12 that I'd buy just for looks.

  12. I have a 4x12 column almost as tall as me - an old Garnet Rebel. It is exactly 0% fun to move, but a great novelty vintage item! :roflmao:

There was another thread about this cab awhile back. I feel the same ho-hum way about it this time. Even if it made sense, I'm not lugging a 155 lb cab around.

I'm glad this cabinet is offered in an 8 ohm version.
So you can connect another one when one alone is not cutting it.

Prone to ranting, episodes of moral outrage.
I think that crew is running away in fear of this cab

Maybe the idea is to only play through one set of speakers at a time. Haul one cab to your gig, and, depending on what sounds best, you have all your bases (basses?) covered!

    Just spitballin' here! :D:woot:
