electric flatwounds on acoutis bass=brrr ??

  1. What are the best strings tp put onto an acoustic bass to get that brrrrr sound ??? I was told electric flatwounds ?
    Any comments
     
  2. I use the Thomastik-Infield acousticore strings on my ABG.

    characteristics: soft, natural upright-like tone

    I have tried other strings but these do the best job for me.

    What you describe is my preference for my ABG...I use the "cheap" Fender flats and have been very happy. I have also used tapewounds and could have been just as happy to have them on it as the flats...go figure...different strokes... :meh:
