Hello Talkbass people, Having to work from home, I have to deal with the constant screeching of my neighbor who thinks she's an opera singer. Believe me, she isn't. I'd be more willing to stand it if she was taking any steps to get better at it, but it's just tons of screeching over records with a lot, a whole lot of uncontrolled vibrato. No exercises ever. Thankfully, she's not a musician so any musical counterattack from my flat stops her short. So I have to work with music constantly on. I have noticed that live recordings are more efficient in stopping her, so I've pretty much exhausted all the Marcus Miller concerts from Youtube, and I think by now even she must know Jaco's birthday concert by heart. I need a deadly Electric Jazz Live Protection Playlist right now. CDs are better than Youtube stuff, because I can put them on the Hifi and still use my Pad for work. First on my list is Bona Makes You Sweat. What do YOU say I should get?
My suggestions are "Group-related"... The Brecker Brothers Band have at least 3 killer Live albums. I just picked one up with this line-up, Live And Unreleased (your neighbor will love this)- They also have Heavy Metal Bebop & The Bottom Line Archive Series.
