    I have a BC Rich Mockingbird bass. My problem is the volume pot makes a crackiling sound and wont allow any signal through. i have replaced said pot twice, with the same results. Any thoughts on what could be the issue?

    it has a volume pot, and three blend pots, and a preamp.
