Does anyone know of an American dealer for British made, Elite strings? They scored pretty high in the Bassplayer Magazine string shootout a couple of years ago, and I'm interested in giving them a try. If anyone has any leads as to where I can find them, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanx A lot.
    :)

  2. i don't know of any dealers in america, but try them direct @ www.basscentre.com

they have a link to a site about elite strings,

before i traded in my jazz, thats all i was using, stainless steel stadium series, some people like them, and other hate them, but its like everything

they have a nice sound new, not too sterile, and they age well, last a long time and feel good.

if you can't get them from the bass centre themselves, try www.stringsdirect.co.uk

thats where i got my elites from, very cheaply

I believe Elderly Instruments has them. www.elderly.com
I recently bought some strings from them (not Elites), and I thought their prices were good, and the service was good, too. Let us know what you think of the Elites.

Not good for me I'm afraid.:(

I just put a set of 45's on my Rickenbacker 4004 and they just don't have the bright attack that I always look for in new strings. They are very dull sounding to be honest. I am going to replace them with DR high beams once I can afford to. I had some DR's on my bass before and they were great. I also really like rotosound swing bass too.
