Elixir Strings

    Ive really been wondering about getting a 5 string set of nickel plated Elixir strings, sense nickel is usually what feels good to me and doesn't mess with my frets as much, what do you guys think of that type of string, how does it sound and feel to you talkbass people? also i usually play Dr sunbeams and Ernie ball.

    I've used them on several basses both nickel and steel. I'm very fond of them. The coating feels really nice but nothing like a tape wound. They still feel like a good round wound but a bit smoother. The steels are plenty bright but that top end zing is minimal.

    I use various kinds of strings on my basses. For Nickel Plated Steel, Elixir is my number one choice.

    I've been using Elixir NPS strings for the last 2 years. They are really as what many of the user have said... built for consistency and longevity of tones.
