EMG Geezers - WOW

    Just dropped the EMG Geezer P pickups into my MIM Fender P. First, I was able to accomplish this all by myself (standing up to take a bow) which is an accomplishment as I am not known to be very handy with that sort of thing. Second, WOW! they really sound fantastic, ripped into "paranoid" and was smiling ear to ear. They sound very punchy, aggressive and clear, almost as if I was playing with a pick.

    The Geezer is such a good pickup that I'm still using it despite not being an EMG endorser anymore ;)

    Ya, Chrys actually told me that once. But he was the only person I knew over there, and let's face it...I'm no household name, and playing with Bowzer from Sha Na Na is a good gig but it doesn't exactly scream "endorsement power." And I'm not one to go looking for endorsements. But I can't complain...they were really good to me.

    They are wonderful pickups. Loud but clean and just about noiseless when Idle.

    Hi gents,

    Does anyone use an EMG Geezer P/J set on a Spector Euro 4 LX with the regular TonePump ? Is it worth the swap ?

    Yes, I had been reading all about them here for a bit and JimmyM's glowing endorsement played a part in my purchase. Love them at home, looking forward to January 8th when I test them with the band.
