EMG pickups + fodera pre-amp

    i like victor wootens sound, can i get vic's sound out of a warmoth bass with the same pickup and electronics setup?

    I once had impure thoughts. Oh, and I pluck my ear hair.
    Not really, no. It takes more than the pickups and electronics to mimic the sound. The wood composition and construction of the bass itself also come into play, as does the actual placement of the pickups.

    And most importantly, the technique.

    Much of the Les Claypool-tone comes from his technique, whether he's on his Rainbow bass or just a standard fretted jazz
