EMG vs. Seymour duncan??

    Which one is best, and how are they best applied? Is one better for rock, metal, blues/jazz, funk? Thanks for any help. This is especially in a Jazz Bass related set up.

    Depends, I hear the SDs arent as versitile. I have no experience with emgs. If I were you, id try some basses out that have both, and get a feel for what sound they make. Also what model(s) of SDs are you thinking of getting?

    I own a set of EMG actives, for a P bass, and Duncan 1/4 pounders for another P bass.

    These pups aren't for everyone. But if one of the two have the sound that you're going for, then by all means, go for it. Please post links to what you have in mind.
