Englehardt Swingmaster Bass

    Has anyone owned or tried one of these? What do you think of it? I like the looks and Ive heard that some of Englehardt's stuff is sketchy. Thanks, Dana

    I have no knowledge of them being 'sketchy', but basses vary from bass to bass. Have someone that knows basses look it over for you before you buy.

    A while back Engelhardt's output was inconsistent. That's no longer the case, they are consistently good and uniform. I don't even bother to have them shipped here first, I just have them shipped directly to customers. They even come with decent Labella strings these days, and with a medium set-up, ready to play. Never had a problem except for one that was majorly mishandled by the trucking company and arrived in two pieces. Of course I replaced it with a new one.

    the one i had looked and sounded great for a ply bass.
    wish i had kept it.
