Enough Knobs?

    It's the new Peavey Pro 500 head. Gives out 500w into 2ohm load, which is quite little I think for being marketed as "high power" - they already have Firebass and some other head giving out similar or better wattage.

    Anyways, there's something how those big knobs and their placement make the head look awful complicated. I know there's stuff with more knobs on it for sure but that just looks like a control freak's dream.

    My next amp. It has EXACTLY the right number of knobs. It's on order at BC, and should be here in a couple weeks. Drool.

    I have played a Pro 500 at a local music store and thought it was a very nice amp. It has a tube pre-amp section, and sounds better, IMO, than the Fire/Nitro/Delta Bass amps.

    If something ever happened to my T-Max (knock on swamp ash), I would consider replacing it with a Pro 500. Although, I would rather have the amp Munji is getting :cool: .
