I've been playing a fretted mexican fender j-bass for a while now and I've been thinking of getting a fretless. I tried a fretless mexican j-bass once and it worked out pretty well, but I'm wondering, are there any other good entry level fretless models? Afterall, the fender's are pretty heavy (though I do like how they sound compared to other 300-500 dollar basses.) thanx

In the same price range, ones that I would look at are the Cort Artisan fretless and the Yamaha RBX270.

Actually, the Cort may be a little more than the Yamaha or Fender, but has better tone.

Good luck, and welcome to Talkbass!:)

I think Yamaha BBN4F would be superior to RBX.
    It costs around 300 dineros.
