Enveolpe Vs. Wah Wah

    Enveolpe Vs. Wah Wah which one is better?

    Neither, they are just different from each other.
    An envelope is automatic and gives a very distinct sound. A wah give you the control with your foot (like a variable envelope that can repeat and go in different directions).
    It all depends on the sound you are after.
    I have both (Dunlop 105Q wah and EBS BassIQ envelope). They are similar in some ways but different in many others.

  3. I like envelope filters, especially when used with distortions and octaves. But KB is right, they're both very different from eachother. I personally don't like using my feet while playing steady rhythmes, I would find a wah more useful for solos though so you can control the sweep to get a desired effect when it is needed.
