Epi Thunderbird to a Fenderbird

I have an Epi Tbird that has a really bad neck. Now, instead of trying to fix it, do you think i can fit a P bass neck in there? (convert into a fenderbird) I checked the measurements at warmoth.com and if not close, they're right on the money, but I could be wrong. I dont have junk fender necks here to test. Any of you guys tried this?
