Are the Epifani 2x10 UL boxes as good for
slapping as say swr or eden? I know its a very
good box I just want opinions on versatility.
I REALLY LIKE THE WEIGHT!! 38lbs.

Hey jokeboy... You know this for a fact?
I played through a 1x12 epi, and as much
as I loved it, the highs didn't have that
"sweet thing " up top. It may have been
just that box. but... I REALLY LIKE THE WEIGHT!!
    38lbs.

I have an Epi 4x10UL. I recommend their cabs for any style of playing. Absolutely great sound reproduction and if you get the UL series, your back will love you. I still have my old Goliaths, but these are better.

Hey AndroWal... How is the Epi for slap stuff
against the swr. I would think the body of
sound is fine. I guess i'm really asking about
    the highs.

    hmm...

well, i guess it also depends on the amp you're using, cause the Epi cabs on the whole have a pretty sweet high end to my ears.

but if anything 10" speakers will just slam home those slap tones like nobody's biz.

I think that's a big part of it.

You played through a 1x12, not a 1x10 or 2x10. I don't think there are a whole lot of 10's out there that ARENT good for slap.
