I was told by Shawn at Epifani a while back that if I put a PS112 under a UL112 I'll get some extra punch and low end. I currently use a UL902C amp with combinations of Epi UL310s, 410, and 112s I like the wide, clean hi-fi sound I get, but sometimes I'd like a bit more punch. I currently alternate between an MTD Z6 and a Fender Deluxe MIA Jazz V, in a 3-piece jazz/rock band.

I know that stacking identical 112 cabinets is the best way to go, but has anyone tried the UL112 and PS112 combination? I'm thinking there could be issues since they're different speakers.

Any input, theoretical or through experience, would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

I've owned both cabs, but not concurrently.

I think they would sound great together. However I do think its best to keep the stack with identical cabs.

I couldnt believe how great that ps112 sounds. If I werent such a weight weenie I'd be using a ps112 stack.

I think if you're looking for that big, punchy sound, and weight
isn't an issue, I'd sell the UL112 and get another PS112.
However, I do think the UL112 S-1, is a better box overall,
but two of the PS112's would be killer.
