I used the DI for the first time at a gig and noticed the mute button doesn't mute the signal going to the house (it acts more like a speaker on/off switch), is there a work around with this?

When did you get your 502. I know mine does mute all outputs (speaker and di). I know the earlier ones did not mute the di out. I think there is a mod that epifani can do to make the mute switch mute the di out.

It's only a few months old....Would it matter if it was set pre or post eq?

    nope,

but seems like you're close by the shop. take it in, and Nick can most likely do the mod right then and there w/ his trusty soldering iron.

    I will contact them thanks!

  6. that's an interesting question about whether the pre/post will affect the mute?

The pre/post switch will mute the DI!!!!

I usually don't unpack the rig at home but I figured I'd try to fix my issues, set up my rig and plugged the DI into my MBox, and confirmed the pre/ post on the back of the head does mute the signal in post mode.

Can't beat this thing! Can have 2 seperate Eq's for a singal instrument or switch between two instruments. The sound is awesome and I can mute or unmute the DI signal (if you don't own one you should know there is also a level control for the DI on the back)...................Pete
