Just saw that Epiphone is offering a limited edition Blue Royale run of certain instruments. The basses in the collection are the Jack Casady and the Rumblekat.

That is a gorgeous shade of blue. I'm feeling GAS pains starting to build.

  3. Hmmm! I'm devoted to my Woody -- does it need a playmate?

    A few thoughts:
    • Chrome hardware + blue = significant departure in visual vibe.
    • Is it a translucent blue? I like that about the red.
    • Sparkle binding - not really my cup.

I think I still like the standard edition better. Not hatin' on the blue, though.

  4. Does the Blues hawk come in that color? If not, its a shame.

Finally, the Rumblekat in a different color! Don't get me wrong, the original looks good, but seriously, not even a black or white version?
This thing looks great in Royal Blue. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a short-scale bass. It's the only one I've ever played that felt...right.

Always wanted a Jack. Never had the chance to play one. Or a rumblekat

This thread is nothin' but trouble.

...this color blue does nothing for me, but I do like the white and gold Casady basses.

  13. As far as the JC I prefer the Alpine White and Silverburst. Its strange because blue is my favorite color. I think it would look way better with something along the lines of Sonic Blue or Seafoam/Surf Green.

Nah. My RumbleKat is red and that's the end of that.

    Nice idea though.

Got a cobalt blue MIJ Jag Deluxe that is beautiful. Bought a shirt to match when I play it at gigs. A blue JC and I could save on a new shirt.....

I have a serious Jones for a short scale bass. The Rumble cat might be just the ticket. Any idea where it might be able at?
