Epiphone Jack Casady Bass - Tips, Tricks, and Clips?

    Thinking about getting one of these, but am wondering which years to buy / avoid? Any issues or mods to consider if I were going to make this my main backup bass?

    Also, I am wondering how versatile these basses are / can be? Please feel free to post any audio or video clips that demonstrate the range of these basses.

    Anyone else? Are the earlier ones better than the current ones?

    Also, what is your favorite color combo?

    I have had real good fortune with South Korean electric basses and electric guitars in the 1998-2003 range, before the migration to other industrial cost centers. Both semi-hollow and solids and hollow-body sealed and F-holed.

    Epiphone was out of South Korea for quite a while. I personally think the later, the better

    I had one about 8 or 10 years ago that I really liked. Sold it with some other basses to fund a vintage bass I wanted but the JC was a really nice bass and I knew I could always get another if I wanted.
