So, I am throwing this out to you history buffs because I am coming up blank. Quite a while back (early 90's??) there was an Epiphone Les Paul Bass that has a Transparent Black (or possibly just gloss black paint) body with a black headstock. What set it apart was a maple fretboard with black stars inlaid as fret markers. I am not certain if it was a special, studio, custom, etc. I have seen a few of these pop-up in the outlaw country circuit (Waylon Jennings , Merl Haggard, etc.) but have been unable to find information. I want to try to track one down, but need to know what I am looking for!! Thanks to all!!
