Epiphone Newport, Who knows about them

I saw one in a vintage shop and it was priced cheap and seems to be in mint condition.

I don't know a thing about them.

The thing seemed rather cool, maple neck, they had black flat wounds on it, it's the 2 PU style.

It's a thru neck and it's priced in the 500.00 range.

I don't really need bass number 12, but I am thinking of pulling the trigger, maybe trade away my Dan Electro Long Horn to it.

I don't know a thing about them except every one I've seen cost way more than $500.

I guess it is not the original one from the 60's. This one is the original one:

Maybe the one you saw was newer version from recent years. That one is a totally different instrument.
